Whitehawks Win, 7-0, as Knight Mystifies New York C Sunday, July 10th , 1955 Goose eggs were the order of the day for the New York C Inferno as starter Roland Knight shut them out, 7-0, at Whitehawks Grounds. The Lisbon C pitcher struck out 6 and walked 2 while allowing 3 hits. "Knight was good but he wasn't flawless," New York C manager said. "We had a few opportunities to make something happen and we didn't do it. Not to take anything away from Lisbon C, but this is on us." |
