Duncan 5-for-6 Against Jackrabbits Monday, July 11th , 1955 It's not something you read about in the sports pages every day -- a 5-for-6 day. For many, it might come around only once in a career -- and for Tyler Duncan, it came around today. The 21-year-old left fielder scattered hits all over Shockers Park to pace the 14-10 Paris C Shockers victory over the Providence C Jackrabbits. Providence C skipper told reporters in the press room that "Duncan deserves a hat-tip." "He hit some good pitches against us," he said. "In fact, according to our scouting reports, Duncan hit several that he is not supposed to be able to hit." Tyler Duncan singled in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, flied out in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th. So far this year, Duncan has hit .361 with 5 home runs, 19 RBIs and 26 runs scored. |
