Odoyo Dominates Sicily C Friday, July 15th , 1955 Lakew Odoyo was in a mood to talk following the Paris C Shockers contest against the Sicily C Emperors, expounding to BNN reporters on his pitching philosophy. He had good reason to be excitable, having tossed a complete game shutout of the Emperors, 4-0. "There are three important elements in pitching success: location, location, and location," Odoyo said. "I was hitting my spots time and time again." The right-hander blanked Sicily C on a 6-hitter, allowing 3 walks and racking up 4 strikeouts. Over the season Odoyo has thrown 79 innings and dished out 39 strikeouts with a 6-3 mark and a 2.62 ERA. |
