Red-Hot Nagy Cools Off Providence C Sunday, July 31st , 1955 It was not a good day at the plate for the Providence C Jackrabbits. They came up empty when it mattered against Mobile C Spartans right-hander Jaime Nagy, who scattered 3 hits across 9 innings and held the Jackrabbits scoreless. "We had 3 hits so I know he wasn't completely untouchable, but he was close," Providence C manager said later. Nagy chalked up 7 strikeouts and 4 walks in the 7-0 Spartans win. This season, Nagy has a 6-6 record with a 3.38 ERA in 15 starts. |
