Top Pitcher Award Announced by TCC Wednesday, August 17th , 1955 John Ela of the Paris C Shockers is in the spotlight today. He was voted the top pitcher in the TOBA Class C and will be presented the 1955 Pitcher of the Year Award. He started 18 times and compiled a 11-6 record with an ERA of 3.20 in 157.2 innings with 114 strikeouts. He received 8 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Lakew Odoyo of the Paris C Shockers finished second in voting, while Roland Knight of the Lisbon C Whitehawks finished third.
