On a Roll: Moses Hits for Cycle Saturday, July 23rd , 1955 Paris R's Sigifrid Moses accomplished what few others have done -- he hit for the cycle, collecting a single, double, triple and home run in the same game. For the day, Moses finished 5-for-5 with 4 runs batted in and 4 runs scored and helped the Thunderbirds knock off the Sicily R Saxons, 21-5, at San Diego R Grounds. "I didn't even know I was about to hit for the cycle until after," Moses told reporters following the game. "One of the guys mentioned it when I got back to the dugout." Sigifrid Moses tripled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, walked in the 4th, hit a GRAND SLAM off Josh Walker in the 5th, singled in the 6th and doubled in the 7th. This year, Moses has 2 home runs and a .414 batting average. |
