Kerr Belts Bunch of Base Hits Friday, July 29th , 1955 Danny Kerr was sizzling at the plate. In a game played at Thunderbirds Park, the Iceland R second baseman blistered the Paris R Thunderbirds for 5 hits in 6 at-bats to pace his club to a good 17-9 victory. "Kerr was too tough to get out," Thunderbirds skipper said in his postgame interview. "No matter what we threw him, he hit it. And he hit some good pitches, too." Danny Kerr doubled in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Zane Pope in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, flied out in the 6th and singled in the 8th. In 20 games this season, Kerr has batted at a .355 pace with 27 hits and 6 home runs. |
