Bardin Thwarts New York R, 5-0 Saturday, July 30th , 1955 Paris R Thunderbirds starter Maximilien Bardin really did a number on the New York R Bucks, shutting them out, 5-0, on 1 hit in a complete game victory. He issued no walks and had 6 strikeouts. "We didn't have good at-bats," said New York R manager . "I don't make excuses, but when we were playing the game, our energy didn't show. That comes from either extremely good pitching or extremely lousy hitting and seeing as our team has a bunch of good hitters, I have to tip my cap to Bardin." This year, Bardin has compiled a 5-1 mark with a 3.61 ERA in 7 starts. |
