Hit Streak for Robinson Reaches 31 Friday, August 5th , 1955 Joe Robinson extended his consecutive-game hitting streak to 31 games in the 10-5 Mobile R triumph over the Paris R Thunderbirds. The 20-year-old Skeeters second baseman collected 3 hits in 5 at-bats. "Of course it's going to end," he said. "I'm just enjoying it until then." Joe Robinson flied out in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Tony Garcia in the 5th, flied out in the 6th and doubled in the 8th. This year, Robinson is hitting .380 with 52 hits, 8 home runs, 23 RBIs and has scored 34 runs. |
