Gorky Shuts Out Sofia Behind Kalimullin, 3-0 Sunday, July 20th , 1952 In a seemingly effortless performance, Felix Kalimullin of the Gorky Gales shot down the Sofia Frogs, 3-0, on 2 hits. "Felix was just locating so well and using his pitches," Gorky manager said later. "He wasn't leaving anything over the plate." Kalimullin recorded 5 strikeouts and 2 walks in a strong outing. "When he needed to make pitches, he elevated his game," Sofia manager said in postgame comments to BNN. "We couldn't get a key hit off him."
