May's Top Rookie Announced, Sdobnyakov EBB Winner Monday, June 1st , 1953 It's hard for a newcomer to make their way in the Eastern Bloc Baseball, but Pavpv Sdobnyakov has withstood the pressure well. He posted a mark of 0-0 in May en route to his Rookie of the Month Award selection. The 21-year-old starter for Kazan worked 8 innings, striking out 3 and holding opponents to a .148 average. He also finished off the month with an ERA of 1.12. |
