The Kyiv second baseman had a field day in his team's 11-10 triumph over the Bucharest Bucks, finishing 5-for-6. "My hitting philosophy is simple," he said. "I focus on just seeing the ball and I try to get a good pitch." Aranovich must have focused at least 5 times and apparently got some good pitches, too, leading to one of his best days ever with the bat. Yasha Aranovich struck out in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit an RBI double in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
