Walter Spins 7-0 Shutout Against Volgograd

Rutger Walter was in command in his outing against the Volgograd Owls. He hurled the Sofia Frogs to a 7-0 shutout victory, yielded 4 hits and chalked up 1 strikeout and 1 walk.
"A complete-game shutout is fun territory for me," he told reporters in the postgame interview. "I had good balance and mechanics and was able to keep the ball down. When I do that, good things happen."
Walter has made 11 starts, tossed 92 innings, struck out 24 batters and walked 28. His record is 9-3 with a 3.52 ERA and he has limited other teams to a .262 batting average.
