Griffiths Humbles Budapest, 3-0 Thursday, May 27th , 1954 Francis Griffiths had an impressive outing at Gales Fields, hurling the Kharkiv Ducks to a 3-0 shutout victory over the Budapest Brewers. "He threw strikes and he was always around the plate," Budapest skipper said. "The ball was doing everything he wanted it to do. We hit some balls hard, but they were all right at the fielders."
