Super Swinger -- Cisneros Slams 5 Hits Wednesday, June 29th , 1955 It was a downpour of hits for Danny Cisneros at Brooklyn AAA Stadium. The Sicily A Longhorns right fielder tore into Providence A for 5 hits in 6 at-bats to pace the Longhorns to a rain-delayed 18-12 victory. Providence A manager bemoaned his pitching, speculating his club got flustered by Cisneros's big day. "He was beating us and we stopped locating well," he said. "That makes you get behind in the count and you can't do that when a guy is hot like Cisneros was today. Not to take anything away from him, but bad location was the story of the ballgame." Danny Cisneros struck out in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, walked in the 6th, singled in the 7th, hit a solo-shot off Murray Hunter in the 9th and hit an RBI single in the 9th. In 41 games Cisneros is hitting .356 this season with 48 hits, 3 home runs, 24 RBIs, 15 walks, .414 OBP and has scored 23 runs. |
