Sunday, August 10th , 1958
Nestor Loshak was a calming influence out of the Paris A Orioles bullpen this season.
His teammates and manager said he had a poised demeanor about him that was typical of someone much older and more experienced. His poise has paid off, as the 26-year-old turned in a sparkling season and has been named the winner of the TOBA Class A Reliever of the Year Award for 1958.
The The United States native won the award with 10 saves in 38 relief appearances, 41 strikeouts in 57 innings and a record of 3-3 to go with his 1.11 ERA.
He received 10 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Nick Ghee of the Providence A Pilgrims finished second in voting, while Pascal Robert of the Mobile A Rivermen finished third.
