In the Los Angeles A's 12-11 win over Sicily A, shortstop Jorge Lopez was red-hot, scorching them for hit after hit at Warlords Park. "To hit the ball consistently well, you have to relax," Lopez said afterward. "I was relaxed for the first four hits, but I have to admit, I got a little tight when I realized I had a chance for five. On the last at-bat, I was ready to swing at anything close." Jorge Lopez hit an RBI single in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, hit a three-run double in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, struck out in the 7th, flied out in the 8th and singled in the 10th. Posting a .409 batting average to date, Lopez has no home runs and 6 RBIs. |
