Orioles Plugged by Boyd, Rivermen, 4-0
Friday, May 9th , 1952
It was not a good day at the plate for the Paris A Orioles. They came up empty when it mattered against Mobile A Rivermen left-hander Chris Boyd, who scattered 7 hits across 9 innings and held the Orioles scoreless.
"We had 7 hits so I know he wasn't completely untouchable, but he was close," Paris A manager said later.
Boyd chalked up 10 strikeouts and 3 walks in the 4-0 Rivermen win.
