EBB Trophy Goes to Kowalkowski of Warsaw Monday, July 25th , 1955 When it came to hitting the baseball, Artur Kowalkowski had few peers in the Eastern Bloc Baseball this past week. The talented center fielder for Warsaw tagged opposing pitchers for a .444 average and was voted the Player of the Week Award. Included in his stats were 12 hits in 27 at-bats, 5 homers, 9 runs scored and 10 RBIs. This season, Kowalkowski is batting .338 with 15 home runs. He has scored 56 runs and driven in 41. |
