Adams Academy Blanked by Bailey Sunday, March 29th , 1953 Paul Bailey of the Alaska Military School Bayhawks overwhelmed the Adams Academy Copperheads and walked off the mound with a complete-game shutout. He blanked them, 7-0, on 1 hit with a total of 6 strikeouts and 1 walk. "Paul was on quite a roll," Alaska Military School manager said. "He gets great late movement and he doesn't give in to the hitters." This season, Bailey has rung up 3 wins and no losses in 6 games. He has an ERA of 2.63 and has fanned 24 batters in 37.2 innings. |
