Buscher 5-for-7 Against Burlington High School Tuesday, March 29th , 1955 Matt Buscher was sizzling at the plate. In a game played at Parrots Grounds, the Atlanta High School right fielder blistered the Burlington High School Maples for 5 hits in 7 at-bats to pace his club to a good 10-9 victory. "Buscher was too tough to get out," Maples skipper said in his postgame interview. "No matter what we threw him, he hit it. And he hit some good pitches, too." Matt Buscher struck out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 8th, walked in the 9th, flied out in the 11th, walked in the 13th and singled in the 14th. Buscher is currently batting .398 with 1 home run and 15 RBIs. |
