5 hits in a game has always been a big milestone in baseball -- 5 hits in a game gets a player's name in the record book, win or lose. Mazakazu Nakajima got his name recorded today, but the Havana Trade School Attack picked up the win at Attack Stadium, topping the Sakura Prep Swordsmen, 13-12.

"He bushwhacked us," said winning manager . "We were lucky to come out ahead."

Nakajima, who is tied for 6th in the IHS in home runs with 6, spoke to reporters in the clubhouse following the game, saying his nerves only set in once he was on the cusp of the milestone.

"I got too much adrenaline going when I realized that this could be a once-in-a-lifetime day," the left fielder said. "I think the coaches could tell I was going to be ready to swing at anything close. That's why my third base coach told me to calm down and wait for a good pitch. That got me back on track."

Mazakazu Nakajima singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, struck out in the 5th, struck out in the 7th, hit a two-run double in the 8th and singled in the 11th.

So far this season, Nakajima is batting .361 with 6 home runs, 23 RBIs and 23 runs scored. He has 39 hits in 108 at-bats, 17 walks and a .441 OBP. Nakajima has played in 25 games.
