Great Day for Crowley -- 5 Hits Tuesday, March 29th , 1955 It was a parade of hits for Pete Crowley of the American International School Argonauts at Argonauts Stadium. Connecting almost every time he went to the plate, Crowley finished the day with a total of 5 hits in 7 at-bats. His strong individual effort propelled the Argonauts to a win, 12-11. "Crowley was really good and we were really bad," groaned Coyotes manager . "Next time he's that hot, we'll just walk him." Pete Crowley singled in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, flied out in the 4th, singled in the 6th, grounded out in the 7th, hit a solo-shot off Esteban Contreras in the 9th and hit an RBI double in the 11th. So far this season, Crowley is hitting .250 with 4 home runs, 13 RBIs and 18 runs scored. He has 14 hits in 56 at-bats and a .434 OBP. |
