Robinson Belts 5 Hits Wednesday, March 30th , 1955 No matter what the Toronto High School Pilots threw at him, Jonathan Robinson hit it. He easily handled Pilots pitching, going 5 for 6 and helping the Waves triumph, 15-10, at Pilots Grounds. "The way I was swinging, I think I could have closed my eyes and hit the ball," he told BNN reporters in the postgame interview. Told of Robinson's quip, Pilots skipper said he "would take him up on that next time." Jonathan Robinson hit a two-run home run off Gunder Hvass in the 1st, struck out in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and singled in the 9th. This year, Robinson is batting .366 with 12 home runs. He has scored 26 runs and driven in 25. |
