Tomassetti Sizzles -- Smokes Attack for 5 Hits Monday, March 31st , 1952 Aaron Tomassetti was unstoppable, but the Sakura Prep Swordsmen were not. Despite his hitting heroics at Attack Stadium, the Swordsmen lost, 13-12, to the Havana Trade School Attack. Tomassetti battered Havana Trade School for 5 hits in 7 at-bats. His only consolation will be a boost in his batting average and a brief mention in the record book. Tomassetti just shook his head after the game, telling BNN reporters, "It's the team with the most runs that wins, not the most hits." Aaron Tomassetti singled in the 2nd, flied out in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 8th, grounded out in the 9th and hit an RBI single in the 11th. On the season, Tomassetti is batting .356 with 1 home run and 9 RBIs. He has played in 21 games. |
