Consecutive-Game Hit Streak Continues for Hernandez

The St. Peter's Prep Flyers stopped the Chicago High School Waves, 4-3, and Jose Hernandez collected a base hit yet again. The St. Peter's Prep shortstop finished with 1 hit to run his consecutive-game hitting streak to 39.

"I want to get a hit every time up," a visibly excited Hernandez told reporters after the contest. "I want to get a hit every game I play. Right now, I feel like I could take this streak to 100 games."
Jose Hernandez walked in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th, flied out in the 6th, grounded out in the 8th and singled in the 10th.
