Aguzzi Batters Detroit Secondary for 5 Hits Tuesday, March 31st , 1953 It wasn't just another day at the ballpark for Georgs Aguzzi. Aguzzi went on a tear and cracked hit after hit off Detroit Secondary pitchers. When the dust settled on the diamond at Dinos Stadium, he had a 5-for-6 line and a day he will long remember. And the Montgomery High School Dinos had a win, 7-6, over the Comets. "Yeah, it'll be something nice to tell the grandkids, but it won't get me a hit tomorrow," he joked in the postgame interview. Georgs Aguzzi tripled in the 2nd, flied out in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 7th, hit an RBI single in the 9th and singled in the 11th. This year, Aguzzi is batting .321 with 2 home runs. He has scored 12 runs and driven in 15. |
