Lamberts at His Best, Blanks Rome High School Tuesday, March 31st , 1953 An efficient outing for Eddy Lamberts usually means a win for the Bayside High School Sand Gnats and today was no exception. The 16-year-old right-hander held the Rome High School Swamp Dogs to a long line of goose eggs. He struck out 5 and gave up 5 hits in the 9-0 shutout. "Eddy really got it done out there today," said Bayside High School manager . To this point in the season, Lamberts shows a 6-0 record, 10 starts, 73.2 innings, 55 strikeouts and a 5.13 ERA. |
