Sunday, March 31st , 1957
The "hardest feat in sports" debate is a never-ending one with no correct answer, but hitting three home runs is certainly in the conversation. That's exactly what Alix Massé did at Atlantics Park, going deep three times and carrying his team to victory, 21-10.
"It all came together. I was seeing the ball well and I got some good pitches to hit," Massé said. "Good things happen, when that happens."
The San Francisco International School River Sharks center fielder blistered the Charlotte High School Atlantics for 3 hits, batted in 4 runs and scored 3 times.
"It ain't like we weren't trying," Charlotte High School manager said. "He was hot and really torched my boys today."
Alix Massé grounded out in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Josh Gomez in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Justin Giesen in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Rickey Gulden in the 4th and grounded out in the 5th.
This season, Massé has hit at a .284 clip and produced 17 runs batted in, 6 home runs and 17 runs.
