5-Hit Game for Lee Monday, April 13th , 1959 Baltimore High School shortstop Josh Lee had a big day at Cavaliers Park against the Burlington High School Maples. The 17-year-old, who is not typically considered a big threat with the bat, went 5-for-7 and led to the 23-8 Cavaliers triumph over Burlington High School. "Hey, I'm as surprised as you guys are," Lee said in his postgame comments, smiling as he scolded the press corps for underestimating him. "Maybe I'm not so bad at the plate after all." Josh Lee struck out in the 1st, doubled in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, hit a GRAND SLAM off Brad Cannon in the 5th, grounded out in the 6th and singled in the 8th. This season, Lee is hitting .360 with 54 hits, 12 home runs, 37 RBIs, scored 28 runs and played in 37 games. |
