Best NAHS Reliever Named Tuesday, April 28th , 1959 At the young age of only 19, George Jones has been named the North American High Schools Reliever of the Year Award winner for 1959. The future appears bright for the St. Peter's Prep Flyers relief ace, who captured the award with 3 saves in 19 relief appearances, 27 strikeouts in 34 innings and a record of 2-0 to go with his 1.06 ERA. He received 41 first place votes out of a possible 60. Danny Jurado of the Montgomery High School Dinos finished second in voting with 19 first place votes, while Masahisa Koya of the Alaska Military School Bayhawks finished third.
