Mike Albright had a spectacular year for Boston Central High School in 1955, putting up 8 wins for the Saints to walk away with the North American High Schools Pitcher of the Year Award trophy.

He finished the season with a 8-2 mark, 68 strikeouts and a 1.61 ERA. In 11 starts Albright surrendered 72 hits and 37 walks in 89.2 innings on the mound.

He received 60 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Anthony Clavette of the St. Peter's Prep Flyers finished second in voting, while Luke Hutnik of the Greenwich Secondary Devils finished third.
