Kaiser Tops North American High Schools Pitchers Thursday, April 30th , 1953
The North American High Schools announced today that Vid Kaiser has been chosen the Pitcher of the Year Award winner for 1953. The Alaska Military School hurler had everything working for him as he cruised to an outstanding 8-2 record.
Kaiser put up an impressive 2.88 ERA in his award-winning season. He started 14 times, worked 100 innings, yielded 90 hits, walked 16, fanned 57 and held opposing hitters to a .234 average.
