Peters Strokes 5 Hits Sunday, March 28th , 1954 Kristoph Martins Trade School catcher Reinhold Peters put on quite a show at Sabercats Park with a big 5-hit day in his team's 7-3 victory over the Lenore High School Beacons. "Not a bad day at the plate, 5-for-5," he said in the postgame interview. "Wish I could do this more often. It would do wonders for my batting average, and my salary, too." Reinhold Peters singled in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 6th and doubled in the 8th. In this current campaign Peters is hitting at a .386 clip with 4 home runs and 13 RBIs. |
