Lung Batters San Juan High School Big Time Tuesday, March 30th , 1954 Kung Lung had an answer for everything the San Juan High School Surf threw at him at Pilots Grounds. The Toronto High School right fielder went 6-for-6 in the game to put his name in the record book and give the Pilots a win, 10-9. Summing up his batting philosophy to BNN writers after the game, Lung said, "I just see the ball and I hit it." Kung Lung singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, singled in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 9th. This season, Lung is batting .409 with 38 hits and 4 home runs. He has scored 19 times and has 28 runs batted in. |
