Early Season End for Figueroa Tuesday, April 1st , 1958 Obviously disappointed, Jonathan Figueroa confirmed today that his season is officially over. The Berkeley High School starting pitcher offered mostly monosyllabic responses to reporters. "Nope," he said, when asked if he might possibly return this year. The 17-year-old Figueroa suffered a torn flexor tendon in his elbow on 03/29/1958 and has been out of action since. Looking at his season stats, Figueroa has won 0 and lost 4, collecting 18 strikeouts and 34 walks in 29 innings with a 11.79 ERA. |
