St. Martin's Prep-Atlanta High School Fight Results in Suspensions Thursday, April 3rd , 1958 If there wasn't a history between Erik Maguire of St. Martin's Prep and Gary More of Atlanta High School, then there is one now. The incident between the two sparked a bench-clearing scrum with those two being the center of attention. Now they will miss 4 and 2 games respectively as a result of their actions. The league office announced their suspensions today. "We're both really competitive," Maguire said later, "and sometimes things go a little too far because of it." This season, Maguire has hit at a .290 clip with 18 RBIs, 1 home runs and 21 runs scored. More has taken the mound for 11 relief appearances this season, nailing down no saves while notching a 1-0 record with a 4.87 ERA. The Atlanta High School reliever has limited opposing batters to a .310 batting average. |
