Long Beach High School Takes Round 2 in Deciding Game

The Long Beach High School Voyagers and St. Peter's Prep Flyers put on a classic Round 2 that was in question until the final game.
In the end, Long Beach High School won the deciding contest by a score of 4-2, to take the series 4-3.
"It doesn't get much tighter than that. To win a series in the last game is a thrill," said Josh Meyer, who earned series MVP honors for Long Beach High School. "Our guys are breathing a little easier now."
For the series, Meyer hit .750 with a .750 on-base percentage. He had 0 home runs, drove in 0 RBI and scored 1 runs.
The Long Beach High School Voyagers will play against the Alaska Military School Bayhawks in the next round. Alaska Military School won their series against the Burlington High School Maples 4 games to 0. The Round 3 schedule will be announced after the Round 2 finishes.
