Alaska Military School Moves on to Round 4 Wednesday, May 14th , 1952 Fans of the Long Beach High School Voyagers groaned when Jelle Hofste stepped up to the plate in the Round 3. And for good reason too, as the Alaska Military School Bayhawks player was instrumental in guiding his team to a 4-1 series win over the Voyagers. The series was clinched tonight at Bayhawks Park, with Alaska Military School coming out on top 14-5 in the deciding game. Hofste's strong series included a .800 batting average, with a .833 on-base percentage. He had 1 home runs, drove in 7 RBI and scored 2 runs. The Alaska Military School Bayhawks don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Havana Trade School Attack - St. Pierre Prep Golden Gophers series. St. Pierre Prep leads the series 3 games to 0. The Round 4 schedule will be announced after the Round 3 finishes. |
