Patalano Rewarded with 1952 IHS Most Valuable Player Award

Chad Patalano, the talented Taipei High School first baseman, certainly made his name known among International High Schools hurlers this season. He hammered them for 60 hits, 16 doubles, 3 triples, 10 home runs, 45 RBIs and scored 50 times. That kind of output made him the choice for International High Schools Most Valuable Player Award for 1952.

He received 52 first place votes out of a possible 60. Dante Cafasso of the Taipei High School Wingnuts finished second in voting with 6 first place votes, while Erik Parrish of the Lenore High School Beacons finished third with 2 first place votes.
