Yoshimura Super -- No-Hits University-on-Sea Tuesday, April 26th , 1955 Excitement reigned at Victory Grounds as Lake Biwa A&M Victory hurler Sueo Yoshimura tossed a baseball rarity -- a no-hitter. After defeating the University-on-Sea Spitfires, 7-0, he was swamped by reporters in the clubhouse for postgame comments. "I'm just glad to be here," Yoshimura said. "Today I just went right at the Spitfires as hard as I could, as long as I could." Yoshimura, who is tied for 8th in the IC with a 1.43 WHIP, chalked up 11 strikeouts and allowed 4 walks in his superb performance. "I don't think they could have stopped him with a howitzer today," said Lake Biwa A&M manager . So far this season, Yoshimura has a record of 3-2 with 55 strikeouts and 41 walks in 82.1 innings and a 4.37 ERA. |
