International Conference East Champions Crowned Wednesday, April 27th , 1955 Rodrigo Contreras of the Pohang Institute of Technology Black Aces said it would "mean so much" to the city if they could bring home a championship. The club has taken an important first step, clinching the International Conference East. "The city is hungry for a winner and for a team they can get behind. I think we're that team," he said. "It's time to bring a Championship Series to Pohang Institute of Technology." It's the club's 1st division title. "We may not be the most experienced playoff team, but we've got a lot of heart," the right fielder said. |
