Playoff Win Vaults Colón University to Next Round Friday, April 29th , 1955 The Colón University Nuggets are off to the Division Series, with a 10-2 win in the Wildcard Series over the Pohang Institute of Technology Black Aces. "You get excited in a one-game playoff because one bad inning could ruin things for a whole season and that's a lot of pressure," said Colón University's Alex Lazaro, who paced his team's offence with a 3-for-3 effort. "We're all excited to get out of here with the win." On the other side, in the Pohang Institute of Technology clubhouse, there were only solemn hugs and handshakes as the team saw a postseason run cut short. "It stings, there's no way around that," said Pohang Institute of Technology manager . The Colón University Nuggets will play against the Brest University Rocketmen in the next round. Brest University won their series against the Southern Melbourne University Dingos. The Division Series schedule will be announced after the Wildcard Series finishes. |
