Playoff Win Advances North West Florida University to Next Round Saturday, April 30th , 1955 Greg Richard did all he could to help guide his team into the next round of the playoffs, but it wasn't enough. Richard was named MVP in a losing cause, as the North West Florida University Aligators defeated his Prairie University Golden Gophers by a score of 7-4 at Raccoons Grounds. "I want to be going on to the Division Series and I couldn't care less about getting the MVP in a loss," he said. For their part, the Aligators were overjoyed to get the win despite the big performance from Richard. "Richard played great, but in the end we got the win," said Aligators manager . "That's all anyone is going to remember." The North West Florida University Aligators will play against the Andre Wolfeson University Indians in the next round. Andre Wolfeson University won their series against the Bismarck State University Bears. The Division Series schedule will be announced after the Wildcard Series finishes. |
