Chameleons Heading to Division Series Wednesday, April 29th , 1959 Eduard Wagner said his team performs best when their backs are against the wall. In a one-game playoff, that's certainly the case and the Stuttgart Military College Chameleons proved their worth by beating the Brest University Rocketmen by a score of 8-5 at Chameleons Field in the Wildcard Series. "We don't give up, we don't panic, we just get the job done when it matters," said Wagner, who backed up his talk with a 2-for-4 performance that earned him MVP honors. Stuttgart Military College will look to continue its strong play in the face of adversity when it advances to the Wildcard Series. The Stuttgart Military College Chameleons will play against the Rome Institute Shockers in the next round. Rome Institute won their series against the Colón University Nuggets. The Division Series schedule will be announced after the Wildcard Series finishes. |
