Brest University Takes Division Series Sunday, May 1st , 1955 Only one team can eventually be crowned Championship Series champions and the list of candidates just shrunk by one. With a 5-4 win, the Brest University Rocketmen eliminated the Colón University Nuggets in the Division Series at Team 30 Grounds today. "The idea of our season being over if we lost was motivating," said left fielder Amar Dupuis, who had 2 hits in 4 at bats to lead his team to victory. "It wasn't hard to get pumped up for this one." In a brief interview after the loss, Colón University manager congratulated Brest University on the win and wished the club luck in the rest of the playoffs. The Brest University Rocketmen don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Dortmund University Scarecrows - Punta Cana University Triplets series. That series has not started yet. The League Championship Series schedule will be announced after the Division Series finishes. |
