Wildcats Heading to League Championship Series
Monday, May 2nd , 1955
The Boise University Wildcats received a stellar performance from right-hander Dave Kramer and are off to the League Championship Series.
The Boise University pitcher was named MVP as his club downed the Ocean County Institute of Technology Demons by a score of 4-1 at Buzz Park to win the one-game showdown.
"I guess I stepped up when it counted the most," said Kramer. "I knew I had all of Boise University behind me, so it was hard not to get fired up for it."
Kramer threw 7 innings, with 6 strikeouts, while allowing 4 hits, 4 walks and 1 run.
"He was good, you can't take anything away from him," Ocean County Institute of Technology manager said.
The Boise University Wildcats don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Andre Wolfeson University Indians - North West Florida University Aligators series. That series has not started yet. The League Championship Series schedule will be announced after the Division Series finishes.
