North American Conference Best Pitcher Named

Golden Gophers ace Hideki Masuda is the latest North American Conference Pitcher of the Year Award trophy winner. The Prairie University star shined on the diamond time and again this year and finished with an outstanding 11-3 record.

In 17 starts he tossed 146.2 innings, posted 99 strikeouts and sported a 3.13 ERA. Opposing batters hit .244 when Masuda was pitching.

He received 30 first place votes out of a possible 32. Ian Fox of the Cancun A&M Pumas finished second in voting, while Dante Romero of the Arecibo University Tarzans finished third.
