Eastern New York University Secures Top Spot in North American Conference East Friday, April 25th , 1952 The manager of the Eastern New York University Steelers said "a lot of hard work, talent and luck" are the reasons for his team's North American Conference East championship. "This club believes in themselves and goes out and gets it done," he said. "You can't ask for much more than that as a manager." It's the club's 1st division crown and gives them an opportunity to win the franchise's 1st Championship Series. "We want that title badly," said catcher Antonio Bea as he took a break from celebrating with teammates. "This is just a start." |
