Ocean County Institute of Technology Bats Silenced by Romanelli Friday, April 25th , 1952 Livio Romanelli handcuffed the Ocean County Institute of Technology Demons at Tycoons Grounds, coming away with a 4-hit, complete game shutout. "I had everything working for me out there," the Eastern New York University Steelers right-hander said later. "I used every one of my pitches, hit both sides of the plate really well and felt like I could do whatever I wanted." With his stuff working, Romanelli had little trouble with the Demons and led the Steelers to victory, 5-0. He recorded 8 strikeouts and no walks in an impressive performance. For the year, Romanelli has compiled a 6-4 record with a 3.49 ERA. |
